Fun on a Monday

Thanks to Martin Luther King, Jr. we had Monday off. Lauren suggested a bring your own picnic. She is so good at coming up with ideas and pulling them off. We all brought our own lunches and met at a lovely park with a fabulous view.

Spending time with family in Christ is the sweetest time you can have. We laughed and chatted and ate. Cheryl never ceases to amaze me with her "I just whipped up this amazing recipe, or that thing." I mean, like really, who makes their own hummus, I ask you? yep, she does. And it was good! Or a cheeseball, and not for a party? yep, she does.

Sosi was such fun. Lauren gave her a blueberry and her tiny face just skrunched up into a ball. It was really funny with amazing involuntary contortions and disgust. These blueberries did not hit her top fav list for sure.

Steve just adores Sosi. He can't wait to have his own baby, though he is a touch disappointed it is not a girl this time.

Speaking of girls, on Sunday we watched Samantha. She came into nursery with a monkey roughly about the same size as herself. Periodically she would put down the monkey and play with something else. One little boy, named Eli, picked up the monkey and started carrying/lugging/dragging the monkey around. Samantha went up to him and looked into his eyes trying to convey that that monkey belonged to her. He did not seem to get it. He just kept dragging. Next she went to me. I promise, without even a word she tattled on Eli just using her eyes. I was laughing so hard, I obviously was not seeing the importance of this crisis. She went to the next adult to trying her eye magic again. Rick fixed the crisis by giving the monkey back. Nursery duty is so fun!
